27 February 2020 - The publication from clinicians at five leading European hospitals including AMC, Amsterdam, Bichat, Paris, UCLH and Imperial college, London and St James's, Leeds highlighted a series of nine cases demonstrating the value of Sensium system.
In this unique cross-site collaboration, the SensiumVitals wireless remote vital signs monitoring system was used on medical and surgical wards across these leading British, Dutch and French hospitals. The Sensium notifications of deterioration led to diagnoses of diverse, life threatening and resource intensive conditions. The case series covers instances of sepsis, atrial fibrillation and pulmonary edema and embolisms.
In each case the Sensium system was able to reveal the first signs of deterioration before a change in the trends of the respective values became obvious by manual vital signs measurement. The impressive results highlight the improvements to patient outcomes which can realised from the Sensium system.
